Hostess Brands, LLC, a new company and employer under new ownership, (“Hostess” or the “Company”) today announced plans to re-launch its state-of-the-art bakery in Columbus, Georgia. The Company will initially add 200 jobs to the local economy and plans to create a total of more than 300 jobs in the community within the next several years.

NCR Chief: Company to Meet Goal of 800-Plus Workers in Columbus by 2014

There are now 650 employees on NCR's payroll in Columbus, with 550 of those working at a 340,000-square-foot plant in Corporate Ridge Business Park and 100 more at a 100,000-square-foot facility in Muscogee Technology Park. The chairman and chief executive officer of NCR Corp., Bill Nuti, said Monday the company will reach its pledged goal of employing more than 800 in Columbus, and could go even higher as business ramps up.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced that Koch Foods will expand its poultry processing facility in Hamilton, creating 750 new jobs and investing $49 million. Koch Foods is one of only five vertically integrated food processors in the nation.
