  • Columbus Park Crossing- largest rezoning for a commercial project in the City’s history over 300 acres. The chamber played a major role.
  • First 5 Star Chamber in Georgia
  • First ICAPP program in the US that lead to the hiring of over 2500 programmers and other highly skilled employees.
  • First Quick Start Training Program for white collar ever conducted in the State of Georgia was conducted in Columbus.
  • Constructed one of the longest river walks in the US of over 15 miles along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
  • Created the first 7 county economic development organization in Georgia known as the Valley Partnership. Now has added 2 additional cities serving 2 states.
  • Developed the first Chamber sponsored Black Business Outreach and Hispanic Business Outreach programs in the state.
  • Became the first Certified Literate Community in Georgia.
  • Partners in Education (PIE) received recognition as the most successful program in Georgia.
  • Have one of the longest records of continuous yearly Intercity Leadership Conferences in the US now in it's 17th year.
  • First Second Tier City in Georgia to become a Certified Entrepreneur Community in Georgia.
