Travis Chambers named to Leadership Georgia Board of Trustees

Travis Chambers, Founder and CEO of ERA Elite Ventures Realty, has been named to the Board of Trustees of Leadership Georgia. According to the Leadership Georgia website, "The LEADERSHIP GEORGIA program is an educational experience rather than a program of advocacy. It deals with issues confronting our state. Five meetings are scheduled at different locations in the state and consist of two days each in January, March, May, September, and November."

An affiliate of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the organization trains and builds a network of emerging young leaders from across the state. Past participants include a number of influential state and national leaders ranging from former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn to University of Georgia Athletic Director Vince Dooley. Chambers is an alumnus of the Leadership Georgia program, having participated in the program in 2009. He currently serves on the Valley Partnership Joint Development Authority, Planning Advisory Commission and the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation. Chambers is an active member of the Columbus Downtown Rotary and is former member of the Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors. Chambers was named as one of Columbus and the Valley's Inaugural "5 under 40" in 2008.

Approximately 60 individuals, chosen from a pool of several hundred applicants from around the State of Georgia, participate in the program each year. The 18 member Board of Trustees oversees the project. Chambers will serve a three year term on the board representing Region 8 which includes Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor and Webster counties.

In commenting on the appointment, Chambers stated, "I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve on the Leadership Georgia board. Leadership Georgia has helped shape the state for more than 40 years. I look forward to adding my service to the outstanding Leadership Georgia legacy."
